Gwangju University, established in 1980, is a prestigious comprehensive university offering a four-year program. It is also the first university in South Korea to implement “Corporate Internship Employment Support Programs” and “Entrepreneurship Support Programs.” It provides practical support for current students and graduates in employment. The university adheres to the educational philosophy of nurturing individuals with a broad-minded love for their country, outstanding abilities, diligence in their conduct, extensive knowledge, and a love for peace and inherits the principle of “education saves the nation”. II. Introduction to the Cooperative Program
HPI collaborates with Gwangju University to offer a major in Big Data Technology. The goal of this program is to cultivate students who are politically steadfast, skilled in both morality and technology, capable of comprehensive development, strive to practice the core socialist values, deeply understand and thoroughly implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era with socialist core values. They are high-quality technical and skilled professionals characterized by being composite, innovative, and development-oriented. They can meet the social development and economic construction needs in central areas. They possess a high proficiency in the Korean language, enabling them to compete in international competitions. They also exhibit high professional competence and strong foreign language skills while possessing the intellectual, cultural, and professional qualities suited to their expertise. They will master foundational knowledge in big data, including Python programming, the Hadoop platform, Spark development, frontend technologies, databases, and web scraping, as well as skills related to big data, including data collection, data cleaning, data storage, data computation, data analysis, data mining, and data visualization. They are prepared for careers in cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, and blockchain and can engage in roles such as big data development, big data operations, data analysis, data mining, and front-end development.
