In order to actively respond to the national “the Belt and Road” initiative and support “going global” enterprises, HPI conducted specialized training in electromechanical integration skills for the Uganda Urban Road Project Department of Shengli Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. from August 21 to 27, 2023.

Shengli Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. is a construction engineering company with extensive experience in domestic and international industry services, holding multiple first-grade construction qualifications. It is a Uganda Urban Road Construction Project undertaken by Shengli Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., which demands high proficiency in operating electromechanical integrated equipment for on-site construction personnel. To enhance project quality, improve work efficiency, and reduce construction costs, the Uganda Urban Road Project Department has commissioned the Institute to provide training for on-site construction personnel on relevant knowledge and skills.

This training is based on the practical needs of the enterprise and targets frontline foreign employees.
The School of Automation Engineering formed a curriculum development team composed of specialized teachers to develop 16 hours of training resources. The training was conducted through recorded video sessions in English, providing training and guidance in electric and electrical control technology, mechanical machining technology, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and electromechanical equipment maintenance to over 20 local employees in Uganda.

This training represents a significant initiative by HPI to support the overseas development of Chinese enterprises and actively participate in international production capacity cooperation. The course design is tailored to practical engineering applications, with a strong focus on relevance and high practicality, holding great significance for further enhancing the internationalization of vocational education at HPI and fulfilling the tasks of implementing the “Dual High” initiative.
